Born, raised, and educated in North Carolina, Henry has been in the printing and advertising business since 1959. His experience working at several job-shops and newspapers for the last 42 years has prepared him well for this business.

Present Position

Henry started the Southside Shopper (a weekly community-shopping guide) on February 10, 1977, with an average of 4 to 8 pages and a circulation of 10,000 copies. That tiny paper has since grown to an average of 56+ pages every Thursday and a circulation of nearly 40,000.

Henry has been married to his wife, Shirley, for 43 years, and he credits his success to her and to his son, David; daughters Kim, Rhonda, and Becky; daughter-in-law, Tiffany Mundy; 1 son-in-law, Greg Byars; and to all his other dedicated, hard-working, and understanding employees.
